Mexican faculty requirements:
§ Be a full-time professor at a Mexican university.
§ Have the agreement of a professor affiliated to a U.S. university to offer together a course with a COIL component.
§ Be active member of AMPEI (with individual or institutional membership).
§ Present proof of fluency of the English language, both written and oral. (TOEFL, certificate or other document certifying your skills).
§ Have digital and technological capabilities.
§ Be enthusiastic for innovative, collaborative, interdisciplinary and international teaching experiences.
§ Have experience in instructional design and availability of time for the course to be taught for incorporating the COIL methodology and monitoring all the activities of the program.
§ Commit to participate in the training workshop on the COIL methodology and design the COIL component that will offered jointly with the U.S. teaching partner.
§ Commit to teaching a course implementing a COIL component, and preparing the reports requested for the evaluation of the program.
Mexican universities requirements
The institution of affiliation of Mexican faculty members that participate in the PIC US-MX must:
§ Be member of AMPEI,
§ Pay a fee of $ 2,000.00 mx for each faculty member participating in the program, as a contribution for operating expenses,
§ Appoint an institutional COIL coordinator, who will act as liaison with the executive coordination of the PIC US-MX,
§ Provide the pedagogical and technological support needed by faculty members to participate in the program and recognize the academic value of their participation in the internal institutional evaluation system.commit to promote internationalization at home, providing support to participants in this project with the collaboration of staff from its Office of International Affairs.
